Four Tigers Earn All-NCAC Honors

Greencastle, Ind. - Four Tigers have been selected all-North Coast Athletic Conference Football second team in voting by the league's coaches.

Right tackle Nick LaChapelle (Sr., Cincinnati, Ohio/Moeller) was DePauw's lone selection on the offensive team after anchoring a line that ranked fourth in the conference by allowing 2.1 sacks per contest. 

Nose tackle Joe Zanca (Jr., Chicago, Ill./Notre Dame) and corner back Dylan Hyatt (Jr., Brazil, Ind./Northview) were second team defensive choices. Zanca totaled 42 tackles for the Tigers including a career-high 10 in the Tigers' 17-13 Monon Bell Game win over Wabash. He paced the squad with 8.5 tackles for losses totaling 34 yards and tied for second with 3.0 sacks for 20 yards in losses. Hyatt tied for fourth on the team with 44 tackles and led with 11 passes defended after sharing the team lead with two interceptions and leading with nine pass breakups.

Punter Ty Johnson (Sr., Shelbyville, Ind./Shelbyville) was selected as a second team specialist after earning honorable mention last year. Johnson averaged 38.0 yards per punt and landed 14 of his 44 inside the opponents' 20 with five covering 50 or more yards. His 72-yard boot against Wabash was a Monon Bell Game record and the second-longest in DePauw history.

DePauw finished the season with a 6-4 overall record and 6-3 in NCAC play which tied for fourth in the final standings.
