Offense Can’t Keep Up with Big Red

Granville, Ohio – DePauw lost a pair of NCAC games against Denison on Wednesday, 8-3 and 13-9.

In game one, it was a three-run game entering the bottom of the eighth before Denison plated three in the inning. DePauw collected 15 hits and committed four errors.

Charlie Patrick, Collin Einertson and Noah Salasky each recorded three hits as Einertson, Salasky and Nolan Lavender each collected one RBI. Salasky was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate.

Nick Casey started and took the loss in seven innings of work. He gave up five runs but only two were earned.

In game two, DePauw collected nine runs on nine hits but again committed four errors. Starter Tyler Holt took the loss as he exited after four innings.

Patrick went 2-for-5 with a triple and three RBI. Salasky went 2-for-4 at the top of the lineup, and Jackson Williams and Brayden White each recorded two hits.

It was DePauw's fourth straight loss as they now sit 3-16 overall and 1-5 in the NCAC. Denison is 16-6 and 5-1 in conference play. DePauw hosts Kenyon in a doubleheader this weekend.
