Richard J. Bonaccorsi ’85 earned four varsity letters in football and started every game of his four-year career as a fullback. A team captain his senior year, he earned Second Team Academic All-America honors by the College Sports Information Directors of America and was an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient. In his first game of his senior year, Bonaccorsi broke the school touchdown record and his 36 career touchdowns and 216 points stood as a school record until 1998. His 1,929 career rushing yards rank sixth in school history at the time of his induction. After graduating from DePauw, Bonaccorsi received a M.B.A degree from Thunderbird – The Garvin School of International Management and earned a Ph.D. degree in management from Case Western Reserve University. In addition, he studied at universities in Mexico, Puerto Rico and Illinois while leading international businesses for W.W. Grainger Inc., Owens-Illinois and H20 Plus. He spent considerable time working and living in Mexico and Latin America and currently makes frequent visits to China and Mexico. Bonaccorsi directs and teaches in graduate programs at Illinois Institute of Technology, serves on the Robert Morris College Advisory Board, serves as vice president of DePauw University’s “D” Association and will serve on the advisory board for the McDermond Center for Management & Entrepreneurship. He lives in Chicago and is married to Desiree S. Dimond ’85.
