DePauw Finishes Fifth at Indiana Division III Championships; Three Tigers Earn Victories

Greencastle, Ind. - Paced by three individual wins, DePauw totaled 107 points and finished fifth among eight schools at the Indiana Division III Championships. Hanover won with 153, followed by Manchester with 148, Rose-Hulman with 131 and Trine with 110.

Haley Thompson won the 10,000 meters in 40:42.62 to lead the Tigers' domination in the events as Lois Miller was second (41:01.45) and Becca Conley third (41:12.24).

Kaitlyn Daanen won the 200 meters in 26.99 seconds and was second in the 100 in 12.63. The Tigers' other winner was Natalie Gruszka in the 800 meters (2:24.12).

Amanda Weber scored in three events with a third in the 200 meters (27.59), a fourth in the 100 meters (12.81) and sixth in the long jump (4.90m/16-1).

Claudia Monnett turned in a second-place finish in the 1500 meters (5:01.31) as did Emily Wilson in the high jump (1.58m/5-2.25).

Tori Flowers was third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (12:19.54) with Kira Singer placing fourth in the 5,000 meters (20:22.79). Elena Ponder placed fifth in the high jump (1.48m/4-10.25), while Mackenzie Jones was seventh in the 400 hurdles (1:21.11) and Gabby Coffing eighth in the 800 meters (2:36.55).

The Tigers' 4x100 relay was fourth (52.74) and the 4x400 relay was seventh (4:36.39).

DePauw returns to action on Friday, April 21, when it competes in the Rose-Hulman Twilight meet.
