Greencastle, Ind. - Behind four first-place finishes, DePauw's women totaled 197 points and won the Indiana Division III Championships. Hanover was second with 158.5 and Franklin third with 117.
Jillian Balser broke her own school record in the pole vault after clearing 11-00.25 (3.36 meters) to win the event. Tiernan Shank took first in the 400 meters in 1:00.45 as did Heather O'Brien in the 10,000 meters in 39:52.47 and Ashley Guevara in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 11:57.87.
Amanda Weber was second in the 200 meters (27.41), fourth in the long jump (15-11.75/4.87m) and fifth in the 100 meters (12.72). Meghan Burke was third in the 100 hurdles (16.05), fourth in the triple jump (33-6.75/10.23m) and seventh in the high jump (15-7.5/4.76m).
Finishing third were Kendall Weiner (1500 meters, 5:11.19), Celia Kauth (high jump, 5-00.25/1.53 meters) and Trina Manalo (discus, 102-9/31.32 meters). Manalo was also fourth in the hammer (128-1, 39.04 meters) and Inman sixth in the 800 meters (2:30.70).
DePauw's 4 x 100 relay was second in 51.59 seconds, while the 4 x 400 was third in 4:23.93.
The Tigers return to action on Friday, April 18, at the Rose-Hulman Twilight.
