Tigers Finish Sixth at Own Invitational; Bethel (Ind.) Takes Team Title

Greencastle, Ind. - Led by three scorers in the 5,000-meter run, DePauw totaled 69.5 points and finished sixth at the DePauw Invitational at Blackstock Stadium. Bethel (Ind.) won with 145 points, while Taylor was second with 136 and St. Joseph's (Ind.) third with 129.

Heather O'Brien won the 5,000 meters in 18:00.31 with Siri Retrum in third at 18:16.08 and Ashley Guevara sixth in 18:50.45.

Celia Kauth was a second-place finisher in the high jump with a best leap of 5-00.25 (1.53 meters) and Meghan Burke was third in the triple jump at 32-11.75 (10.05 meters).

Burke also was fourth in the 100 hurdles in 15.91 seconds with Ellie Sheffield finishing in sixth in the event with a time of 16.64.

The Tigers totaled eight points in the 1500 meters with Emma MacAnally placing fourth in 5:04.21 and Katie Doron coming in sixth in 5:05.17. Tiernan Shank finished fifth in the 400 meters in 1:01.20 with Jillian Balser tying for fifth in the pole vault at 10-6 (3.20 meters).

Maggie Royalty scored in two events as she was seventh in the 100 meters (12.98) and eighth in the long jump (15-6.25/4.73 meters) and Trina Manalo was seventh in the hammer throw with a best mark of 131-5 (40.07 meters).

DePauw's  4 x 100 relay was fourth in 50.92 seconds and the 4 x 400 relay was sixth in 4:24.82.

The Tigers host the Indiana Division III Meet on Saturday, April 12, beginning at 11 a.m.
