Tigers Win 9-0 in Home Finale

Greencastle, Ind. --The DePauw women's tennis team defeated Rose-Hulman, the top team in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, 9-0 in their home finale on Tuesday.

DePauw started with a trio of 8-1 wins in doubles action with Maddie Lee and Gretchen Wilder at No. 1, Alyssa Seneviratne and Meredith Breda at No. 2 and Megan Galle and Sarah Wilder at No. 3.

The Tigers had similar success in singles play. Their 4 and 6 spots took 6-0, 6-0 sweeps via Seneviratne and Galle respectively. Colleen Morris took a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5

At No. 1, Lee defeated Anna Thompson 6-1, 6-0. At No. 2 Gretchen Wilder won 6-1, 6-2 and at No. 3 singles Ali Bush took a 6-1, 6-1 victory.

Rose-Hulman drops to 14-3 overall. DePauw improves to 13-6 overall and enters this weekend as the top seed in the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament.
