19th-Ranked Case Western Bests 31st-Ranked Tigers

Madison, Wis. -- The DePauw women's tennis team concluded play in the Midwest Invitational on Saturday, falling to 19th-ranked Case Western 6-3.

Picking up wins for the 31st-ranked Tigers were Alyssa Seneviratne at No. 5 singles (6-3, 1-6, 11-9), Megan Galle at No. 6 singles (6-2, 6-1) and the No. 2 doubles team of Seneviratne and Meredith Breda (9-8 (8-6)).

Elsewhere, Maddie Lee lost a close No. 1 singles match 6-7 (2-7), 6-2, 10-8. At No. 2 singles, Gretchen Wilder also had a close match, falling 6-1, 3-6, 10-4.

At No. 3 singles, Ali Bush lost 6-0, 6-0, and at No. 4 singles Colleen Morris fell 6-3, 6-0.

In the remaining doubles matches, Lee and Wilder fell 8-4 at the No. 1 flight, and Galle and Sarah Wilder lost at No. 3 9-7.

Case Western improves their record to 14-3, while DePauw drops to 9-5. The Tigers return on Friday to open NCAC play against Ohio Wesleyan.
