Franklin, Ind. -- Junior Jillian Snow scored her first goal as a Tiger but the team fell 2-1 to Franklin on Tuesday.
Her goal came in the 89th minute of the game thanks to an assist from Dana Shedd as the Tigers tried to produce an almost impossible challenge of scoring twofold in the final seconds of the game. Alas, that task fell short.
After a scoreless first half, Franklin broke the tie at 46:42 with a goal from Maddie Fleet who connected on a header from the left side of the goal. Twenty minutes later Franklin went up 2-0 with a goal from Jordan Nakaguchi.
DePauw outshot Franklin 17-14 but only connected once on their six shots on goal. Freshman Mia Manney was in net for the Tigers and recorded two saves.
Franklin moves to 3-3, and DePauw is now 1-5 on the year. They will travel to Wooster on Saturday.
