Thomas More showed why they were ranked fifth in the latest NSCAA coaches' poll with a 4-0 win over the women's soccer team Tuesday night.
The Saints outshot the Tigers 15-3 as DePauw struggled to find an offensive rhythm for a majority of the night. Thomas More, who now sits 9-0-1, has outscored teams 27-3 this season.
Thomas More broke the scoreless tie at the 17th minute mark as Taylor Robinson headed a ball in off a corner kick. Five minutes later freshman Ali Whalen scored her first goal after a long cross from the other side of the field from Lauren Rose.
The Tigers and Saints played the next 50 minutes straight up until Josie Perrino scored off an assist from Shaye Isaacs in the 74th minute. Olivia Neinaber finished the scoring in the 86th minute.
Riley Riordan took the loss in net after making four saves for the night. Thomas More took five corners to DePauw's one.
The Tigers drop to 5-3-1 overall. They host Kenyon at noon on Saturday.
