Denison Shuts Down Tigers

Granville, Ohio - Host Denison scored the game's first 10 goals on the way to a 16-3 North Coast Athletic Conference win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 5-4 overall and 1-3 in the NCAC, while the Big Red improved to 8-3 overall and 4-0 in conference play.

Emily Scinta, Nicole Gibson and Emma Flynn scored for the Tigers, while Kiely Noonan paced Denison with four goals. Claire Ludlow, Reid Hirschey, Claudia Rafi and Leah Israel each scored a pair.

DePauw's Lis Hawkins recorded 10 saves, while Hannah Magarian and Becca Jones each had one for the hosts.

Erica Rapelje and Marisa Ellison each had two ground balls for the Tigers, while Ladi Lozanowski led with three draw controls. Hallie Walsh, Israel, Noonan and Grace Gavula had three ground balls each for Denison with Jane Goodspeed and Israel each totaled three draw controls.

Denison outshot the Tigers, 30-8, and held a 12-8 advantage in draw controls. The Big Red also led in ground balls, 24-11, and committed 15 turnovers to DePauw's 25.

DePauw travels to Allegheny on Saturday, April 15, for an 11 a.m. NCAC contest.
