Gambier, Ohio- The Tigers fell to Kenyon Saturday afternoon in Gambier, Ohio, in their final game of the 2014 season. DePauw scored two early goals, but ultimately lost 17-5 to the Ladies.
DePauw dropped to 3-10 overall and 2-6 in the North Coast Athletic Conference, while Kenyon improved to 9-6 on the year and 3-5 in NCAC play.
Abigail Snively opened up the scoring, netting an unassisted goal with 24:36 left on the clock. Elizabeth McCracken added the Tigers' second goal just 38 seconds later when she found the net on an unassisted strike.
Kenyon would close the half on a 9-0 run led by Alex Bair and Allie McLane who each tallied two goals in the half.
McCracken would score her second goal of the contest to open the second half, as her shot found the back of the net for an unassisted goal with 26:55 left in the game. Following a pair of Kenyon goals, Taylor Summers would fire in a pass from McCracken to make the score 11-4 with 20:43.
The Ladies added two goals before Summers and McCracken connected for another Tiger goal. Summers found the net on a pass from McCracken with 16:49 left in the game.
Kenyon would close out the contest on a 4-0 run to make the score 17-5.
McCracken led the Tigers with two goals and two assists and Summers added two goals, while Liz Hawkins grabbed 10 saves in the loss.
Amy Morgan's four goals paced Kenyon, while Meredith Bentsen made 11 saves in the victory.
