Delaware, Ohio – Behind a double-double from Abby Keller, the DePauw women's basketball team finished the conference regular season with a 66-46 North Coast Athletic Conference win over Ohio Wesleyan.
The Tigers finished at 19-6 overall and 13-3 in conference play. They will host their first round matchup in the NCAC Tournament on Tuesday. Ohio Wesleyan dropped to 6-19 overall and 5-11 in the conference.
Keller led all scorers with 18 points and added a game-high 11 rebounds. Emily Budde added 13 points and Maya Howard added 10 off the bench. Ohio Wesleyan was led by Taylor Dickson's 12 points and Megan Kuether's 11.
Ohio Wesleyan held a slim 17-15 lead after one quarter, but the Tigers took control in the following next two quarters. They took a 31-25 lead at halftime and a 50-34 lead after the third, which was a 35-17 run between the two quarters.
DePauw shot 47 percent from the floor (29-of-62) to Ohio Wesleyan's 34 percent (17-of-50). They went just 2-of-8 (25 percent) from beyond the arc while Ohio Wesleyan went 5-of-12 (42 percent).
The Tigers outrebounded Ohio Wesleyan 42-27 and outscored them in the paint 44-12 and in second chance points 17-11. The bench also outscored Ohio Wesleyan's 19-6.
