Sophomore Emma Baldwin (Oak Park, Ill.) guided the Tigers to a conference sweep of Denison last week, earning her North Coast Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week honors.
DePauw clinched the top seed in the NCAC Tournament and the program's fourth straight conference title with the two wins. Baldwin picked up the win in game one after pitching the final three innings. She allowed one hit and struck out four in DePauw's 10-1 win in five innings.
In game two, which DePauw won 11-0 in five innings, she started and pitched a two hitter in the complete game shutout. She also struck out nine and faced just one batter over the minimum.
For the year, Baldwin has appeared in 25 games, pitched 102.1 innings and has made 13 starts. She is 12-8 with a 2.39 ERA and 126 strikeouts.
DePauw heads into the conference tournament this weekend at 24-13 overall and 14-0 in the NCAC. They've won 19 of their last 21 games.
