DePauw sophomore Lauren Godden (Carmel, Ind.) led the Tigers to a 5-1 record last week including conference sweeps of both Wittenberg and Wooster to earn North Coast Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week honors.
Godden hit safely in five of six games including a 3-for-3 performance in the opening game against Wittenberg. For the week, Godden posted a .450 batting average by going 9-for-20 with two home runs, a double, eight runs batted in and 16 total bases.
Godden hit both her home runs Saturday in a 4-2 win over John Carroll, in a game where she brought home three of the Tigers' four runs.
The Tigers are 22-13 overall and 12-0 in the NCAC, having won 11 of their past 12 games. They travel to Denison on Wednesday for a doubleheader.
