Wooster, Ohio - DePauw extended its win streak to 10 and stayed perfect in North Coast Athletic Conference play after sweeping Wooster by scores of 5-2 and 2-0.
The Tigers improved to 21-12 overall and 12-0 in the NCAC and clinched a spot in the NCAC Tournament. The Fighting Scots dropped to 15-17 overall and 6-6 in the NCAC.
In game one, Wooster took a 1-0 lead in the second as Chelsea Copley walked, moved to third on Kasey Fielder's single and scored on Jamie Kenyon's single.
DePauw took the lead in the fourth as Liz Getz led off with a double and moved to third on Linsey Button's sacrifice bunt. Lauren Godden's single plated Getz and pinch-runner Julia Wagner later scored on Sidney Holler's single.
The Tigers extended the lead to 4-1 in the fifth as Getz drove in a pair with a single to center. Megan Montgomery's bunt single in the seventh scored Ashlee Gibson and extended the lead to 5-1. Wooster plated one in the seventh, but left the bases loaded.
Getz had three of DePauw's 11 hits with Sammi Bell adding two. Kenyon had two of Wooster's five hits.
Brooke Bandy improved to 7-4 and Gibson collected her first save. Maddy Chase dropped to 11-7 in the circle for the Fighting Scots.
Godden's single in the fourth scored Bell and Getz, who each singled, and gave DePauw all the runs it needed in the nightcap.
The Tigers totaled seven hits with Godden and Kat Panos each totaling two. Three different Fighting Scots collected one hit each.
Gibson and Emma Baldwin combined for the three-hit shutout with Baldwin improving to 9-7 with the win after striking out seven in four innings. Jenna Kendall suffered the loss and dropped to 4-10.
DePauw travels to John Carroll tomorrow for a Noon doubleheader.
