Button Slugs Way to NCAC Player of the Week

Greencastle, Ind.- Sophomore infielder Linsey Button (Ballwin, Mo./Lafayette) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week after helping the Tigers sweep Allegheny last weekend.

Button went 3-for-5 (.600) with a grand slam, triple and eight total bases in the sweep. She drove in six of the Tigers' 13 runs in the two-game series and had a 1.600 slugging percentage for the weekend. 

After going 1-for-1 in stole base attempts, Button has improved to 7-for-9 on the year. She is slugging .494 this season, good for second on the team. Her 12 doubles leads the NCAC and she ranks sixth in the conference with 21 RBI.

The Tigers sit atop the NCAC standings with a 10-2 conference record and will look to stay in first when they host Wittenberg Wednesday, April 23, for a 4:00 p.m. doubleheader.
