Tigers Win Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble; Christian and Burguete Finish in Top Four

Oberlin, Ohio - Paced by two top-four individual finishes, DePauw totaled 83 points and won Oberlin's Inter-regional Rumble by 23 points over John Carroll.

Paul Christian finished third in 25:16.4, just 7.4 seconds behind Allegheny's Matt Svetz who won in 25:09.0. Polo Burguete placed fourth in 25:18.1.

Zach Batt finished 16th in 25:52.5, while Cole Martin was 22nd in 26:00.3 and Pierce Sheehan 38th in 26:32.8. Nick Meszaros was 81st in 27:05.3 followed by Aaron Worley in 84th in 27:09.5.

"Winning this meet was awesome," DePauw head coach Kori Stoffregen said.

"The men are a good team and each week they keep getting better. They beat several good regional and conference teams and the guys are fired up for conference in two weeks."

DePauw returns to Oberlin on Saturday, October 28, for the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships.
