DePauw Finishes Second at Wabash Hokum Karem

Crawfordsville, Ind. - Led by a fourth-place showing from Noah Gatwood and Paul Watts, DePauw opened the 2014 season with a runner-up finish at the Wabash Hokum Karem. Wabash won with six points, followed by DePauw's 16 and Danville Area Community with 23.

Gatwood and Watts combined to cover the course in 39:29, while Polo Burgette and Will Bond were sixth in 39:45.9. Smith and Wise rounded out the Tigers' scorers in 11th place in 41:46.6.

"It was a great effort by our guys," DePauw head coach Kori Stoffregen said. 

"Our front runners are strong with Paul Watts, Noah Gatwood and Will Bond leading the way."

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, September 13, at the Knights Invitational in Grand Rapids, Mich.
