Lords Defeat Tigers 5-2 in NCAC Championship

Gambier, Ohio -- Kenyon defeated the DePauw men's tennis team 5-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament Championship on Saturday, giving them both the men's and women's titles.

The match started off in DePauw's favor after finishing doubles at 2-1. After falling at the No. 1 spot 8-5, the Tigers took 8-4 wins at No. 2 (Harold Martin/Nate Wallace) and No. 3 (Dan Rodefeld/Matt Santen).

The rest was all Kenyon. With the No. 3 (Patrick Farrell) and No. 4 (Greg Frauenheim) flights unfinished, the Lords (13-10) took the rest in straight sets.

Rodefeld fell at No. 1 6-3, 6-0; Santen fell at the No. 2 flight 6-2, 6-4; at No. 5 Petar Barcot fell 6-5, 6-3; and at No. 6 Wallace fell 6-3, 6-2.

The Tigers finish the season at 10-10.
