#23 DePauw Stays Perfect in NCAC West with 8-1 Win over Wabash

Greencastle, Ind. - The 23rd-ranked Tigers improved to 12-6 overall and 3-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference West Division play following an 8-1 win over visiting Wabash. The Little Giants dropped to 11-4 overall and 1-2 NCAC competition.

DePauw swept doubles play with a pair of 8-3 wins at the first and second spots and an 8-5 triumph at number three.

Sam Miles picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win over Wade Miller at first singles, while Ben Kopecky was a 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-2) winner at second. Patrick Ferrell topped Nate Koelper 6-2, 6-1 at fourth singles with Chris Bertolini winning over Graham McMullen 6-1, 6-3 at fifth singles and Joe Collins collecting a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Mazin Kakim at number six. 

Wabash's lone point of the match came at number-three singles with Mark Troiano defeating DePauw's Alex Kaczkowski 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7).

DePauw hosts Denison on Saturday, April 19, at 2 p.m. in the final NCAC match prior to the conference tournament.
