Tigers Wrap up Weekend with Second Straight Shutout

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw improved to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in North Coast Athletic Conference West Division play following a 9-0 win over visiting Wittenberg at the Indoor Tennis and Track Center. Wittenberg dropped to 7-2 with the loss.

DePauw swept the doubles competition as Ben Kopecky and Sam Miles defeated Stas Pakhomov and Juan Mena at the number-one spot by an 8-3 score. The second doubles tandem of Eric Vannatta and Alec Kaczkowski topped Akbar Tiwana and Dennis Gleason, 8-0, while the third doubles duo of Nick Thompson and Chris Bertolini defeated Jialang Woo and Mitchell Patterson 8-1.

All six singles matches were decided in straight sets with Kopecky, Miles, Kaczkowski, Eric Bruynseels, Thompson and Bertolini each winning.

DePauw returns to action on Wednesday, March 19, when it travels to Butler for a 4 p.m. match.
