DePauw Finishes Fifth at First NCAC Championship Event: Wittenberg Leads the Field

Danville, Ind. - Wittenberg shot a second-round 307 for a two-day total of 607 as the Ohio-based Tigers won the first of two North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship events at the Twin Bridges Golf Club.

Allegheny is in second with a 622, while Wabash is third at 623, Denison fourth with a 633 and DePauw in fifth at 635.

Allegheny's Oliver White shot a two-day, five-over 149 to earn medalist honors, while Wittenberg's Ben Hogenkamp, Wabash's Logan Burdick and DePauw's Quinn Smith each shot 150. Wittenberg's David Wetterich rounded out the all-tournament team with a 151. White carded a tournament-high eight birdies with Wittenberg's John Chaney and Burdick each registering an eagle.

Other DePauw finishers included Eric Tandy (158), Charlie Castino (162), Stuart Alvey (169) and Brandon Bekkering (171).

This weekend's tournament represents one half of the total NCAC Championships as the teams will gather May 3-4 in Crawfordsville, Ind., at the Crawfordsville Country Club.
