Tigers Win Big Four Classic; Castino Shares Top Spot

Carmel, Ind. - Paced by Charlie Castino's one-over, 73, DePauw totaled a 301 and won the Big Four Classic by five strokes over Butler on the 6,820-yard Crooked Stick Golf Club. Hanover was third with a 311 and Wabash fourth at 324.

Castino's 73 matched the score of Butler's Andrew Eiler, but Eiler earned medalist honors after winning the one-hole playoff.

Brandon Bekkering shot a 75 to tie for fourth, while Eric Tandy share the sixth spot with a 76. Logan Bertalan finished with a 77 followed by Quinn Smith at 79 and Stuart Alvey with an 84.

The win for the Tigers was their first at the Big Four Classic since 2010 and 13th overall.

DePauw returns to action on April 12-13 at the Ted Barclay Invitational in Granville, Ohio.
