Tigers Collect First Shutout of Season

Wooster, Ohio -- DePauw won its third straight conference game and took a weekend sweep with a 4-0 win over Wooster on Sunday.

DePauw, who now sits at 5-3 overall and 4-1 in the NCAC, held an opponent scoreless for the first time this season. Wooster was limited to five shots and freshman goalie Hannah Metzger recorded two saves for her first shutout. She is now 3-0 on the year.

Offensively, the Tigers were sparked by sophomore Kate Milner who scored her fourth and fifth goals of the season to open the game in the first half. Milner scored at 19:32 and 27:26, assisted by Paige Berliner on both goals.

With a 2-0 lead at the half, DePauw added on with a goal from Rose Revolinski at 43:17. Later, freshman Cathy Zesiger scored her first goal on a putback at 60:42.

DePauw ended with 34 shots and 13 penalty corners.

The Tigers are back at home next weekend with a non-conference match with Centre and a NCAC game against Earlham.
