DePauw Returns to Winning Ways with Shutout Victory at Denison

Granville, Ohio - Less than 24 hours after sustaining a loss in the North Coast Athletic Conference opener at Kenyon, 15th-ranked DePauw responded with a 2-0 NCAC win at Denison.

The Tigers improved to 5-1 overall and 1-1 in the NCAC, while Denison dropped to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Laynie Thomas delivered an unassisted goal on a rebound 19:15 into the contest before Paige Henry added a score at 51:00 on Maddy Burds assist off of a corner.

DePauw outshot Denison, 12-5, with each team totaling 12 penalty corners. 

Maggie Steele saved the only shot on goal she faced, while Denison's Audrey Miller-Foreman finished with four saves.

DePauw returns to action on Saturday, September 20, when it hosts Oberlin at 1 p.m.
