Senior left-hander Wyatt Spector (Barrington, Ill.) closed out the Tigers' spring break trip in Arizona by tossing his first-career complete-game shutout in a 6-0 win over Gustavus Adolphus on March 25. The performance was good enough for him to be named the North Coast Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
In the seven inning game, Spector scattered just five hits and struck out a season-high nine batters.
Spector is now 2-2 on the year with a 1.35 ERA. He has made six appearances, started five games, pitched 33.1 innings and has struck out 28 batters.
The Tigers went 4-3 on their spring break trip and sit at 9-7 overall. They open NCAC play this weekend when they host Wittenberg.
